Homemade Croissant Pudding with Berry
ingredients:
- 2-3 Croissants (2 small trays are enough)
- 3/4 Cup Heavy cream
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Demerara sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- Orange zest
- 1 tsp Cinnamon powder and Nutmeg
- Raspberries or any berries of your choice
- Powdered sugar for garnish before serving
Methods:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, then reduce to 130°C when baking.
2. Slice croissants into rounds, keep the top ends aside to place on top.
3. Make custard sauce by mixing heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange zest finely grated. Combine all ingredients well.
4. Pour custard sauce into the croissant-lined tray.
5. Bake at 130°C for 25 minutes. Note: observe croissants turning golden brown.
6. Let it cool, then top with raspberries, blueberries, or any berries of your choice.
7. Serve with ice cream or drizzle with golden syrup on top. Sprinkle powdered sugar before serving.
